Pets deserve better access to care
We started PawsRx because we believed getting your pet the medication they need shouldn't require a $200 office visit, a 3-week wait, or a 45-minute drive.
The problem
Vet deserts
Millions of pet owners live in areas with limited access to veterinary care. Rural communities often have one clinic serving an entire county — if there's one at all.
Expensive medications
Brand-name pet medications can cost $100–200+ per month. For many families, that's an impossible choice between their pet's health and their household budget.
Long wait times
Getting a vet appointment can mean waiting weeks. For medication refills and chronic conditions, that's an unnecessary barrier to ongoing care.
The solution
PawsRx combines veterinary telehealth with compounding pharmacy to make pet medication affordable and accessible. Pet owners fill out a health questionnaire, a licensed veterinarian reviews it and writes a prescription if appropriate, and a compounded medication is shipped directly to their door.
Compounded medications use the same active ingredients as brand-name drugs but are custom-formulated for your pet's specific needs — the right dose, the right form, and a flavor they'll actually take. Because they're compounded rather than mass-manufactured, they're often significantly more affordable.
Our clinical care is provided by independent licensed veterinarians through our vet network partner. Our medications are compounded by independently licensed, PCAB-accredited pharmacies. PawsRx owns the technology, the brand, and the customer relationship — making the entire experience seamless for pet owners.
