Account information

• Mailing address (for medication delivery)
• Account credentials

Pet health information

• Pet name, species, breed, age, and weight
• Health history, symptoms, and current medications
• Veterinary consultation notes and communications

Payment information

• Payment details are processed securely through Stripe. PawsRx does not store your full credit card number, CVV, or other sensitive payment credentials on our servers.

Usage information

• Basic device and browser information, pages visited, and interactions with the platform to help us improve the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and deliver the Service, including connecting you with licensed veterinarians and facilitating medication fulfillment.
• Communicate with you about your account, appointments, prescriptions, and service updates.
• Process payments and manage your subscription.
• Improve, personalize, and develop new features for the platform.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. Who We Share Your Information With

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with trusted partners who are necessary for delivering the Service:

• Licensed veterinariansin our network (via OpenLoop Health) receive your pet's health information to conduct clinical assessments and prescribe treatment.
• Pharmacy partners(including Mixlab) receive prescription and shipping information to compound and deliver your pet's medication.
• Stripe processes your payment information securely. We do not have access to your full payment details.
• Resend handles transactional emails such as order confirmations and account notifications on our behalf.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger or acquisition.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in the United States using Supabase, a secure cloud database infrastructure. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

• Encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest
• Access controls and authentication for all internal systems
• Regular security reviews and monitoring

While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use strong passwords and keep your account credentials private.

5. HIPAA Compliance

Although HIPAA is a federal law that applies to human health information, PawsRx voluntarily adopts HIPAA-equivalent standards for protecting your pet's health data. We believe your pet's health information deserves the same level of care and protection. For more details, see our HIPAA Notice.

6. Cookies

PawsRx uses minimal cookies. We use authentication session cookies to keep you logged in and ensure a smooth experience. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable timeframe, except where we are required to retain it for legal, regulatory, or legitimate business purposes (such as maintaining prescription records as required by law).

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Delete your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
• Export your data in a portable format.
